A groundbreaking alliance between KPMG, Apira, Stalis, and Aire Logic aims to assist NHS trusts in implementing electronic patient records (EPRs) effectively. Launched on September 25th, this alliance offers a comprehensive EPR transformation service to help trusts meet the NHS England target of having an EPR in place by March 2025.

The alliance provides NHS trusts with a single partner to support EPR implementation and optimization. It addresses the challenge of large-scale EPR implementation by bringing together expertise in digital health, data quality, migration, and user-centered design.

KPMG, as the lead partner, contributes its strength in large-scale transformation and training. Apira’s commercial expertise aids trusts in procurement and business case development. Stalis offers data quality and migration services, including data archiving solutions. Aire Logic focuses on user-centered design, legacy system integration, and niche functionality development using its low-code platform, AireSuite.

The alliance’s comprehensive range of skills and expertise allows NHS trusts to choose the services they need, from a single point of entry. This streamlined approach enhances efficiency and avoids duplication of efforts. Additionally, trusts can bolster their capabilities in specific areas, particularly during periods of immense pressure to deliver existing services.

The alliance is already engaged with existing customers and aims to attract new clients by the end of the year. Beyond meeting the 2025 EPR deadline, the alliance envisions continuous optimization and long-term relationships to address future developments in technologies like artificial intelligence and their impact on EPRs.
